                   TEXT:   1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-31
                   TOPIC:   ACHIEVING BY GRACE
                   TEXT:  ROM. 9:15-16, 1 COR.15:10

    INTRODUCTION

    ·         1 Cor. 9:24so I run……..We are born to run, born into a race. Consciously or not you must compete to achieve or win in life. A New born baby is a good analogy on this. Everyone wishes to win or become someone great in life. However, years later, we all findour levels. There are some natural factors that help achieve or win in life, these include:The Will power, Strength (survival of the fittest) and Expertise (smartness or swiftness) among others.Rom. 9:16 – Limits, …showeth MECRY. There is something superior to the above items.
    Eccl 9:11- then I returned……..Vanity upon vanity.Race is not to the swift………

GRACE: - Is superior to greatness, strength
    -          You can achieve sweatlessly.
    -          The world boasts of strength, we talk of Grace.
    ·         Is indescribable, it is inexhaustible
    ·         No performance limitation, surprising, unfathomable
    ·         The effect is undeniable
    ·         Only sufficient thing. 2Cor. 12:9
Billy Graham- Autobiography- “when we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God”.
      -  Your best is less than the least of God’s grace.
      -   No Grace, effort is probability.
      -   Converts probability to possibility (time and chance).
      -   Definition of G-RACE, God in Race, God factor in the race> Human factor
How are the mighty fallen? The mightiest man will eventually fall.Grace  procures divine enablement, mercy gives deliverance.
    ·         It is meant for the weak, inadequate, nonentities
    ·         Makes mortal man extra ordinary.
Great people boast about the grace of God. PAUL epistles conclusion, not to end as GRASS.
It is the hand of God upon man Elijah and Ahab race (king on horse versus an old man on foot)    Zech.4:7- Cry of Grace, I receive God’s Grace.

    WHAT GRACE DOES
    ·         Positions you at the top, obviously unlikely you don’t look like it
Moses did not look like it David did not, as a king. There is another one there in the field (Samuel could not sit down till he comes). Daniel never look like it Dan. 5
    ·         GRACE makes you relevant all the time. Art thou that Daniel? People will be surprise. Jesus Christ did not look like it. John 1: 14-17 FULL of Grace.
    ·         Covers your errors and colours your effort
    ·          When grace is off,  DISGRACE sets in

    ,
    ACCESS TO GRACE
    1.    HUMILITY – Proven depth of humility
    ·         Deeper in humility the more the grace
