INTRODUCTION

We are in the end of times – 2 Tim. 3 v1

The parable of the ten virgins – Matt.

John 17 v 16. As the Disciples of
Christ, we are in this world, but we are not of the world.

We are the citizens of the kingdom of
God. – Characteristics of the kingdom.
·
Matthew 5 v 13 – 15 – we are the salt
and light of the world. We are to shine for Him and depopulate hell by winning
souls for His kingdom.
·
Rom. 8 v 14 – Be led by the Spirit.
·
The converging economic and diverging
effects should not affect our homes as Christians, if we obey the word of God
which is
The constitution of the kingdom of God
concerning our homes
(1) We were blessed
by God at creation. Gen. 1 v 25

a.
Gen. 2 v 18 – God saw that it was not
good for the man to be alone. So He created the woman – The first marriage. The
husband is the head of the home, the wife is the helper.
b.
Marriage is God’s pet project – It
must be honored by every child of God as our father’s project.
(3) Mal. 2 v 16 Says
God hates divorce – A good child will not do anything hated by the father.
– It is an
abomination in Christendom to divorce.
(4) It is compulsory
to do the following in a Christian home based on the constitution of the
kingdom as contained in the scriptures, in order to avoid confusion:
a.
Col. 3 v 18 – Submission by the wife
b.
Col. 3 v 19 – Complete love by the
husband, no bitterness against her at all.
c.
Col. 3 v 20 – Complete obedience of
the children to their parent
OTHERS INCLUDE

Total submission to God
(c) 1 Peter 5 v 7 – cast all your cares upon Him

Focus on the kingdom, its righteousness and do it right.

The Children
They must be
ushered into the kingdom of God in order to avoid any commotion in the family
by taking the following steps:
·
Link them with God- Proverbs 22 v 6.
·
Proverbs 29 v 17 – If he is trained he
will give you rest.
·
Joshua 1 v 8 – let them memorize the
word of God.
·
Counsel them regularly – Psalms 73 v
24; Bond with them otherwise the social media and negative people will win them
over.
·
Teach them how to pray / hear from the
Holy Spirit.
·
Lead them by example
·
Draw up family rules and regulations
with them in a conference manner and commensurate punishment suggested by them.
It will build in them “self discipline”.
·
Avoid bringing just anybody to live
with you. If they have to come, ensure that you bring them up to become members
of the kingdom of God.
·
Do not abandon your parental
responsibility to your domestic staff. They can’t give what they don’t have.
Conclusion
Let’s do everything according to the will of God as His children
in our respective families as contained in His word. It is only then that we
can avoid any end time confusion in homes – we are to shine for Him, actualize
our destinies and depopulate hell.
